Hose Hanger for the 12-Gallon Sniper

This is the genuine Sandia hose hanger for the 12-gallon Sniper carpet extractor. It gives the vacuum and solution lines a dedicated place to live on the machine instead of coiled on a shop floor or thrown loose into the back of a van.

That matters more than it sounds. A 25-foot hose assembly is a real line item, and hoses almost never fail from wear on the inside. They fail from being kinked, crushed, and stored wet. A hose coiled tight on concrete develops a permanent set, the vacuum line eventually collapses internally under suction, and airflow drops off long before anything looks wrong from the outside. Hanging them in wide loops keeps that from happening and lets recovery water drain out instead of sitting inside the line. Lightweight at 3 lbs, and it travels with the machine, so the hoses go where the unit goes. The rest of the Sandia 12-gallon parts are here.

What Makes it Great:

🪝 Protects an Expensive Hose: Wide, supported loops instead of tight floor coils, which is the difference between a hose that lasts and one that collapses internally.

💧 Lets Hoses Drain: Hung vertically, recovery water runs out rather than pooling in the low spots of a coiled line.

🚐 Travels With the Machine: Hoses stay on the unit through transport instead of ending up loose in the van, dragged, or driven over.

🔩 Genuine Sandia Accessory: Made for the Sniper chassis, so it mounts where Sandia intended rather than being fabricated onto the frame.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a hose hanger matter on an extractor?

Because hose failure on these machines is almost always mechanical damage rather than wear. Tight coils on a hard floor put a permanent bend in the line, and anything that gets stepped on, rolled over, or crammed into a vehicle takes a crush that never fully recovers. Giving the hoses a fixed home on the machine removes most of the situations where that damage happens.

What causes an extractor hose to lose suction?

Usually a collapsed or kinked vacuum line, and it is easy to miss because the outside can look fine. Vacuum hose relies on its internal structure to stay open against negative pressure. Once that structure is damaged at a kink point, the hose partially closes under suction and airflow drops even though nothing is visibly wrong. Check for soft spots and permanent bends before you start suspecting the vacuum motor.

Why do extractor hoses start to smell?

Because the recovery line carries dirty water and then gets coiled up and put away still wet. Standing water in the low spots of a coiled hose is exactly the environment bacteria want, and the odor that develops transfers into the next job. Hanging the hoses so they drain and dry between uses is the simplest fix, and it is cheaper than chasing the smell with chemicals afterward.

How should I store extractor hoses between jobs?

Flush the recovery line, let both hoses drain, and hang them in loops as wide as the space allows. Avoid tight coils, avoid anywhere they can be stepped on, and keep them out of direct sun since UV degrades hose jacket over time. The goal is simple: no sharp bends, no standing water, no weight on top of them.

Does this fit the 3-gallon Sandia extractor?

No. This hanger is built for the 12-gallon Sniper chassis. The 3-gallon spotter is a different machine with a different frame, so check parts listed for that unit instead.
