Trigger Pin for Stinger Twister Tools
The trigger pin& Screw is the pivot the trigger swings on. It passes through the trigger and into the tool body, holding the trigger in position while letting it rotate through its travel. Every squeeze of the trigger loads this one small piece of stainless, thousands of times a day, which is why it is both the cheapest part in the tool and the one most likely to sideline it. Once the pin walks loose, shears, or bends from a drop onto concrete, the trigger goes sloppy, stops returning cleanly, or falls out of the tool entirely.
Stinger handles this as a single part. Tornador splits the same job across two separate pieces, a trigger pin and a trigger screw, so their repair means sourcing two SKUs and hoping you grabbed the right pair. One Twister pin covers it. That matters most on a bench running multiple tools, where a $4 part in the drawer is the difference between a five minute fix and a tool that sits idle. Fits the Twister Mini, the pistol grip Twister Blow Gun, and the Twister Complete.
What Makes it Great:
🔩 One Part, Two Pieces: Replaces what other tool lines break into a separate pin and screw. One SKU to stock, one part to order.
⚙️ The Pivot Point: Restores clean trigger travel and return. A worn pin is why a trigger wobbles side to side or stops snapping back on release.
🧲 Stainless Construction: Built to take repeated actuation load without deforming, in a tool that lives around water, chemical, and compressed air.
🧰 The Spare Worth Having: Costs less than the trip to get one. A tool missing its trigger pin is fully down, no matter how good the rest of it is.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the trigger pin & screw actually do?
It is the axle for the trigger. The pin runs through the trigger and anchors into the tool body, so the trigger pivots around it instead of flopping loose. Nothing about air delivery or cleaning performance changes when it wears, but the trigger stops working properly, which takes the whole tool out of service.
How do I know the trigger pin has failed?
Start with trigger feel. Side to side wobble, a trigger that no longer returns crisply on release, uneven travel, or a trigger that has worked its way partly out of the body all point at the pin. If the trigger falls out entirely, the pin has sheared or backed out.
Why do trigger pins fail?
Two reasons. Cycle count, because the pin absorbs the actuation load every single squeeze, and impact, because these tools get dropped on concrete floors. A drop that lands on the trigger transfers straight into the pin and will bend or shear it well before it damages anything else.
Is this the same as the Tornador trigger pin and screw?
It serves the same function but it is not the same part. Tornador uses a separate trigger pin and trigger screw. Stinger consolidates that into one Twister pin & screw. If you run both tool lines in your shop, stock them separately rather than assuming they cross over.
How do you replace it?
Disconnect the tool from air first, every time. Back the old pin out, seat the trigger in position, and drive the new pin through until it is fully home. No further disassembly is needed, and the whole job takes a couple of minutes on the bench.
