Replacement Eductor for DEMA Blend Centers

The eductor is the part that actually makes a blend center work. It is a venturi: water accelerates through a narrowed throat, pressure drops as velocity rises, and that drop is what pulls concentrated chemical up out of the jug and into the stream. No pump, no power, no moving parts. The metering tip that threads into it sets the ratio, but the eductor is what creates the draw that makes the tip do anything at all. This 1/4" valve is the genuine DEMA replacement for the 1 GPM blend centers we stock.

What makes eductors worth paying attention to is how they fail. They rarely quit outright. Hard water scale builds in the throat, aggressive chemistry slowly attacks the plastic, and the draw weakens a little at a time. Your ratio drifts, your chemical comes out thinner than the label says, and nobody notices until staff start complaining that a product "does not work like it used to" and compensating by running more of it. If you are unsure what your station should be delivering, run the numbers through the dilution calculator before you assume the chemical is the problem. See the full DEMA range for the rest of the system.

What Makes it Great:

🔵 Genuine DEMA Part: Built for DEMA dispensing systems, so the threads, throat geometry, and tip seat all match what the unit was engineered around.

💧 Restores Correct Draw: A fresh eductor brings suction back to spec, which is the only way a metering tip delivers the ratio it is stamped for.

🔧 Threads Straight In: Screws into the pre-threaded port on the unit. No tools beyond what is already on the bench and no plumbing changes.

💵 Cheaper Than the Chemical It Wastes: A drifting ratio burns concentrate every single day. At this price the part pays for itself long before anyone notices the problem.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an eductor actually do?

It creates suction using nothing but water flow. Inside the body is a narrowed throat, and as water speeds up passing through it the pressure in that section drops below atmospheric. That vacuum is what lifts concentrate from the jug through the pickup tube and into the water stream. It is the same venturi principle a foam cannon or a carburetor uses, with no electricity and no moving parts involved.

How do I know my eductor needs replacing?

Look for drift rather than failure. Chemical that seems weaker than it used to, staff reaching for more product to get the same result, inconsistent output between two stations running the same tip, or visible scale when you unthread it. The reliable check is a draw test: put the pickup tube in a measured container, run the unit for a timed interval, and measure how much
