We've tried a lot of wheel cleaners over the years, and this product has become our favorite. We typically use it at around a 1:4 dilution and spray it directly onto the wheel without pre-rinsing first (unless the wheel is hot to the touch). We've found that applying it to a dry wheel allows the chemical to cling better and work more effectively.
Where this product really shines is on neglected wheels with heavy brake dust buildup. In many cases, it removes the contamination without any scrubbing at all. We simply apply it, let it dwell for anywhere between 30 seconds and 2 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly. Just don't let it dry on the surface. The longer you allow it to work, the better the results tend to be.
The cleaning power is incredible. When rinsing, the water almost does all the scrubbing for you because the brake dust has already been broken down and dissolved. Watching years of baked-on brake dust disappear with minimal effort is seriously impressive. For professional use, this product has been an absolute game changer and saves us a ton of time.
