Installation & Setup

1. Mount the Unit. Select a sturdy wall location near a cold-water tap in your shop. Use the supplied mounting hardware to secure the backing plate to the wall, ensuring it’s level and firmly anchored. You may need lag bolts to secure to your wall.

2. Connect the Water Source. Shut off the cold-water supply you’ll be tying into. Connect your water feed line (shop tap or hose) to the system’s inlet fitting using appropriate adapters. Connect the outfeed to your pressure washer or hose system. Ensure all quick-connect fittings are fully seated and secure.

3. Bypass Valve Orientation. Locate the integrated bypass switch/valve on the unit. In the tap (bypass) position, water will flow around the deionization resin, which is ideal for initial washing or rinsing. In the (0 SPOT) position, water flows through the resin for a low TDS output used for final rinsing to avoid spots. Confirm bypass valve lever directions before first use and each shift between modes.

4. Verify TDS Meter is Properly Installed. Position the included TDS meter in the correct location in case it is moved during shipment. Hit the button while the bypass valve is set to 0 SPOT and the water is running through the system. Any number under 20 should yield great results!

Feed Water Requirements. Ensure incoming tap water is pressurized and free of large debris. Use a pre-filter if your water has sediment or high particulate content.

5. Start with Tap Water. Turn on shop water and set bypass valve to tap mode to wash and pre-rinse the vehicle.

Flush Dirty Water. Run water through the system in deionized mode for ~30–60 seconds before actual use to purge untreated water from lines and resin housings. High sediment, chlorine, or extreme TDS levels can reduce resin life and deionization effectiveness; use appropriate pre-filtration where necessary.

6. Switch to Deionized Mode. Flip the bypass valve to deionized mode to produce spot-free rinse water for final rinsing of paint, glass, trim, etc.

Monitor TDS. Watch the TDS meter display; use deionized rinse only when TDS readings show sufficiently low (ideally lower than 20) for spotless results.

7. Rinse & Walk Away. Rinse surfaces with deionized water; no drying is necessary if water truly has negligible dissolved solids.

NOTE: Resin Life & Bypass Use
Replace resin cartridges when TDS output rises above desired threshold (measure with the TDS meter). Follow manufacturer guidelines for safe resin handling and disposal.
